WHAT IS LAND-BASED AQUACULTURE

Aquaculture often refers to the RAS-recycling aquaculture system, it’s a type of man controlled system to breed fish/shrimp in a scientific way. When we want to make it clear, this question should be explained in 2 ways:

land-based means onshore, it’s totally different to the cage farming, the water will be stored in tank and process the farming. It can be operated indoor or outdoor.
aquaculture, as we said, it’s a scientific way of farming, using the limited space, icreasing production rate, reducing the operational costs, including: solid waste removal, ammonia removal, CO2 removal, and oxygenation.

WHY FLEXIBLE FISH FARMING TANK

There have many optional of aquaculture tanks, but flexible PVC fish breeding tank is a good choice, and we really mean it.

Safety

The fish rearing tank uses the heavy duty PVC fabric material, UV-resistant, puncture resistant, rustproof, and using in properly maintained, the lifespan can be over 10 years. And 6P free fish breeding fabric material used, safe to fish/shrimp, safe to human.

Good Design

The traditional biofloc(RAS) tank is usually the circle tank with a central drain, that’s all. Flixtank makes the floor slope for the tanks. This design improves the utilization of the water, using the gravity and water flow in the culture tank to clean the rearing tank.

Small Package

The body of the biofloc tank is flexible(but durable), and the support of the tank is frames, can be folded and packed in small size. Which means, a big size fish farming tank, the package can be small when emtpy, also means, for international or local shipment, the shipping cost can reduce a lot. For example, the 10,000L breeding tank, the packing is 0.33m3; a 20GP container can load 90 units of tanks.

Fabric Materials Choice

Bladder Tanks use in various places, for different purpose, the fabric materials will be different. For most usage, the non-drinking water storage, the regualr material PVC is a good choice; but for drinking water, the mateial should be food-grade, we use the TPU which meets the FDA to provide safe sources.
